Give Back, A Norvell Foundation exists to provide practical and emotional support to those battling cancer, regardless of their background or culture. Our goal is to assist in ways that truly matter—providing meals, clothing, and financial assistance for rent, mortgage payments, and other essential needs. We are here to stand in the gap when the battle feels overwhelming.
I am especially passionate about advocating for women to take control of their health through yearly breast cancer exams. This is a critical part of our mission because early detection saves lives. According to the American Cancer Society, Black women have a 40% higher breast cancer death rate than white women, despite similar rates of diagnosis. Many of these disparities come from a lack of trust in the healthcare system, fewer resources in our communities, and systemic barriers to early detection and care.
Through this foundation, I aim to address these gaps by educating, supporting, and empowering women, particularly in underserved communities.
